November Numbers Forecast

November (11)November is the universal 4 month in the 11/2 year of 2009. This is a time to bring stability and security (4) to our partnerships and unions (2). The annual focus of each Personal Cycle continues along with the monthly focus for each Personal Year cycle.

To read these forecasts correctly, you must know your Personal Year number. To get this number, add the number of your birth month + the number of your birthday + 2 (the personal year energy for 2009). Example: October 14, 2009 = 10 + 14 + 2 = 26 = 2 + 6 = 8.

The general focus of 2009, a universal 2 year which influences everyone, is duality, partnership, and union. This will have an influence on your personal cycle.

Cycle 1 ~ Beginning, Individuality, Leadership

In the Cycle of One, attempt to approach each issue with a sense of individuality and self-reliance. Remain mindful as you encounter each of your months and days to apply the skills you develop in an expansive and courageous manner.

Personal Month 3 ~ Keyword: Self-Expression

November can be an emotional month for you so be on the lookout for the melodramatic. You’ll most likely find yourself inspired and expressive at this time of the year. Enjoy your friends and try to have some fun this month. You have the ability to bring joy to the people you meet, as well as the ability to be very expressive. Watch your words ~ they carry a lot of weight at this time.

Cycle 2 ~ Duality, Partnership, Union

The Cycle of Two is a year of cooperation and responsiveness. You are likely to spend more time waiting than you would like, and may find yourself in the background rather than in a leadership position. All things are cyclical and the wheel of the year will bring you many emotionally gratifying experiences. Remember to offer support and to be receptive to others while advancing your own goals.

Personal Month 4 ~ Keyword: Advancement

With the right organization and discipline, November can bring just what you need to advance your projects or goals. You will be required to put forth some hard work this month and you may be left feeling exhausted and used up. If it feels like there’s just not enough of you to go around, cut yourself a little slack. Sometimes less is more.

Cycle 3 ~ Creativity, Expression, Growth

This is the Cycle in which you should attempt to approach all issues in a manner that allows you free expression. Remain mindful as you encounter each of your months and days to apply the skills you develop in a creative way.

Personal Month 5 ~ Keyword: Clarification

All you want to do after last month’s workload is have a little fun, but you can either make or break November by reining in impulsive behavior or restlessness. You’ll begin to be aware of the work that lies ahead of you next year. Focus! It may be harder this month than most, but it must be done. Set aside a few days to expand on your thoughts from last month. You’ll need them clearly defined for next year. If you find yourself stuck in the same old routine, think about doing something different this month. If you’re brain’s in overload, give your body some exercise or rest ~ you know which you need.

Cycle 4 ~ Process, Stabilization

In the Cycle of Four, attempt to approach all issues with a sense of exactitude. Remain mindful as you encounter each of your months and days to apply the skills you develop in a practical manner.

Personal Month 6 ~ Keyword: Responsive

This is the “home and responsibility” month. Family duties may require a special effort to reach and maintain a state of harmony. Take the time this month to honor the ties to your family and friends. You may feel a domestic urge surface in November. You will be required to be emotionally responsive (and responsible). Do what you can to bring balance and peace to all your relationships. Don’t be miserly or dictatorial with your loved ones. They need your love.

Cycle 5 ~ Change, Freedom, Sensation

Attempt to approach all issues with a spirit of adventure. Remain mindful as you encounter each of your months and days to apply the skills and knowledge you develop in an enterprising way. Have fun, be ready for change, and make the most of every moment.

Personal Month 7 ~ Keyword: Modify

You know how sometimes you just feel out of sync with the rest of the world? That could be you in November. Try to remain in the present when you are in the company of others, tempting as it may be to drift. Find moments for yourself this month, but don’t hide. The exhilaration, excitement, or anxiety you have felt much of the year may start to wear off as your attention shifts to matters associated with the home and domestic matters.

Cycle 6 ~ Sharing, Family, Community

In the Cycle of Six, attempt to approach all issues in a loving manner. Remain mindful as you encounter each of your months and days to apply the skills you develop in an attentive, yet responsible, way.

Personal Month 8 ~ Keyword: Benevolence

Who’s the head of your house this month? This November can put you in a leadership posiiton ~ and you can be the royalty that everyone adores ~ IF you don’t run amuck beheading the “peasants.” Keep your ego in line this month and don’t go about issuing dictums. You are the benevolent ruler this month, and that means you allow the crowd to rule. Otherwise, you may have an uprising on your hands.

Cycle 7 ~ Rest, Deeper Truth, The Mysteries

During the Cycle of Seven, attempt to approach all issues with the courage of your convictions. Remain mindful as you encounter each of your months and days to apply the skills you develop in a sensitive, intuitive, and gracious manner.

Personal Month 9 ~ Keyword: Understanding

During November, you may find that a phase of your inner growth is nearing completion. New awareness in giving and compassion may be expressed this month. After a year of introspection, it is suddenly easier to understand the feelings of others, to identify with their struggles, and try to empathize with what drives them. November can produce very positive results when you are compassionate, forgiving, sensitive, broad-minded, and tolerant. If you find yourself behaving in exactly the opposite manner, you will probably find November to be a disappointing month.

Cycle 8 ~ Success, Power, Achievement

In the Cycle of Eight, attempt to approach all issues in a manner that is efficient and practical. Remain mindful as you encounter each of your months and days to apply the skills you develop in a resourceful, resolute, yet benevolent manner.

Personal Month 1 ~ Keyword: Modesty

The 8 and the 1 carry a lot of personal power, which may prompt you to exert your authority or personal wishes too much this month. Don’t let selfishness or self-centeredness get in your way. That kind of behavior will cause people to think of you as an egomaniac. Know your own strength and don’t deny your power, but remind yourself that power must be handled gently. Don’t push. Resist the urge to boss people around. Keep it simple and unpretentious.

Cycle 9 ~ Compassion, Selflessness, Completion

During the Cycle of Nine, attempt to approach each issue you come across with a sense of compassion. Remain mindful as you encounter each day to apply the skills you develop in a sensitive and gracious manner.

Personal Month 2 ~ Keyword: Caring

You may have strong leanings toward your personal relationships this month. Take very special care of those you hold dear. Don’t take on a “Queen Bee” attitude. It’s definitely not the time for that. Rather, it’s the time to take the back seat in relationships and allow others to be in the limelight. Be caring and sensitive to everyone this month, but especially to those you dearly love.

It’s been a while since I sat down and devoured a numerology book. Anne Burton’s Numerology, A Book of Insights, has more than held my attention. It has absolutely fascinated me.

Rating: 5 Stars

I’ve added quite a few books to my numerology library since being named the Numerology Editor at All Things Healing. Some of the books are quite pedestrian, some are fun, and some I say “Add to your shelves!” Add this one. It’s a keeper that I will refer to regularly.Book of Insights

Ms. Burton’s focus is the Expression Number, the total number of all the letters in the name. The Soul Number (also known as the Heart’s Desire number) is the sum total of the vowels; the Quiescent Self is the sum total of the consonants. Another term authors use for the Quiescent Self is the Outer Personality Number. Unfortunately, authors vary on the use of terms for these values. Conformity of terms would bring some cohesion to the art and science of numerology but, unfortunately, that isn’t the case. Personally, I would like to know that the Soul Number is always called the Soul Number (or Heart’s Desire, whichever) just as Mars is always Mars in astrology.

She also includes in her analysis of the numbers the Enmass Number, which is influenced by the Enneagram. If you are not familiar with the Enneagram, it is a system of typing people that is divided into nine categories and has some affiliation with the Myers-Briggs typing of feelers, sensors, extroverts, and introverts, among other categories. Ms. Burton’s familiarity with the Enneagram has brought a depth to her numerology work that is very appealing to me.

Ms. Burton says that we can’t be sure whether the Expression or Soul Number is our stronger number without anlyzing it for ourselves. One or the other will carry the stronger force and is the dominant number. The other of the two numbers gives us an idea about what was happening in the background of our lives, or it may be a group of secondary issues we deal with. Of the two numbers, we will relate to the dominant number, whether Expression or Soul. Once that distinction is made, she refers us to the Enmass Number for an incredibly insightful breakdown of character traits and personal issues.

Quiescent means “not active” or “not activated” and Ms. Burton says that we seek the quality of our Quiescent Self in our lovers or spouse or find it in a parent. “After doing a number of charts for couples, I noticed a strong correlation between the Quiescent Self of one mate and the Soul or Expression of the other. It just makes sense that we would choose a companion that has the qualities that we wish for ourselves. After all, the Quiescent Self is the perfected qualities that we desire to obtain.” This is an interesting take, and I must admit that my Quiescent Self Number is among the missing numbers in my name.

She gives brief descriptions of the Life Path Numbers, but goes into more detail on the Cycles and Challenges. Her formula for determining the yearly cycles is a bit different from most. She tells us to take the age and add it to the Life Path number. You’ll get what is usually called the Personal Year number, but using her formula the year will begin on the birthday instead of January 1st. This is another inconsistency in numerology and the subject of much debate. Do a brief review to see which seems more accurate and applicable to you.

Numerology, A Book of Insights was published in 2007 by Fifth-Estate Books. There is no editor listed and the book has plenty of typographical errors. Some paragraphs are filled with streams of insights without the best paragraph form. It gives the appearance of being self-published, but I couldn’t determine if that was the case or not. Ms. Burton is listed as the author of many books on various topics, but I cannot find a website for her or any personal information. That’s too bad because she has much to bring to the numerology community, and readers do generally like to know a bit about the authors they read. Regardless, it’s an excellent book and I recommend it highly.

How do we judge whether or not a book on numerology is good? We read about ourselves. Do we connect with the descriptions? Do they feel right? Do they hit a nerve? Do we have new insights? Yes, yes, yes, yes. Things that I have pushed to the back of my psyche or placed on the back burner of my journey into self-knowing has been placed up front and over a high fire by Ms. Burton. A book of insights? Oh, yes. Yes, indeed.

Site Review: namenum.com

I came across a fun site, www.namenum.com, that will create an interpretation of your name and a graphic to accompany it. Here’s the graphic it created based on my name, cjwright:

CJ WRIGHT, your numerology is 8 - 7, A Leader and Thoughtful. Complete name numerology at www.NameNum.com

It uses two types of numerology to calculate the numbers. The first (8) is calculated using classical Pythagorean numerology. The second number (7) is calculated in what they refer to as the “modern” style, which assigns the numeric value of each letter to its corresponding number on a telephone pad. That’s a little strange, but we do use those numbers a lot, so it’s worth a little experimentation.

The site also lists harmonics ~ associations with planets, flowers, colors, gems, magical/mythical creatures, and the first names of men and women.

Check the site out for some fun associations.

I’ve been looking at tarot decks without pictures on the minor aracana cards and thinking that these might be better decks for numerologists to work with. With numbered pips only, we get the element and the number without the artist’s interpretation of a meaning. Seems as though that would keep our own meanings clearer. I’m working with it now to discover which works best.

I’ve never owned a numbered pips deck that I really loved, though. Now I’m wondering if the pictures are interfering with reading from a numerologist’s viewpoint. Some of us switch decks to stay intuitive in our readings, working with one deck for a while and then switching off. Some of us are devoted to a few decks that feel comfy, or we’ve used the same deck for years no matter how many we own. I fall into the latter categories. However…

The-Truth-Seekers-TarotI recently found The Truth-Seeker’s Tarot on the discount table at Barnes & Noble, and I like it. The majors are simply depicted ~ there’s not much esoteric symbolism; for example, there’s no astrological symbolism on the cards. It’s a colorful, easy on the eyes deck, with gold foil highlighting each of the cards. The colors are crisp and the drawings are clear ~ along the lines of the Hanson-Roberts, New Palladini, or Connolly decks. If you like a deck chock full of symbolism (such as the Haindl deck), you may find this deck too simple for your tastes.

The minor cards are not completely devoid of a picture, as in the IJJ Swiss deck. There is a background drawing on each card, but there are no people on any of the pips.

If you’re a collector, this deck will make a nice addition. The book is by David Fontana. The deck is by Sylvie Daigneault. You can see the Major Arcana on her site.

Which do you prefer? Pictures or pips?
